Where we are going

You know, I originally bought this site as I was planning to try and start my own web design business. However, over the last few years, since I fell pregnant with my daughter, I have suffered from a multitude of things that have put all that on the back burner. Since I was about thirteen, I have suffered from hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), although it had always been very mild - till my pregnancy. I was told that HS can sometimes be relieved when pregnant, so trust me to go the other way! I have had to have two serious ones removed by surgery, am taking two different tablets to try and calm the bouts, but may end up seeing a plastic surgeon to see if there is anything they can do.
HS is getting more widely known, but it is still relatively rare compared to some illnesses/afflictions/diseases. There is also no known cure and what works for one person may not necessarily work for someone else. However, there MAY be some ideas that people have not tried yet, or there may be something everyone has in common that may help lead to a more in-depth understanding of HS.
With this in mind, I decided to remake Manic Web into an HS support site, for HS sufferers to come together and share their experiences and also be able to talk to others who know exactly what it is like to live with HS. However! I also suffer from Fibromyalgia (and have done since 1997) and quite bad depression since the birth of my daughter (not her fault, just one of those things!). So, I also wanted to incorporate those things into the site as well.
Drum roll, please!!!! So, welcome to the new hidradenitis suppurativa, fibromyalgia and depression support site! I would love it if other people going through similar things would join up, makes friends and generally just have a good time. And if there are any other illnesses you would like to see, I will try my best to incorporate them, too.
So, please bear with me while I try to set up and easy to use, friendly website where I hope to meet some lovely people and be able to talk openly about how I feel without feeling ridiculed.
I look forward to meeting you all, whoever you are or wherever you come from!
